A strong claim at the end of the first EUNAD project was not only to focus on the improvement of skills among helpers but also to emphasize the strengthening of self-help competences among individuals with disabilities. EUNAD IP develops and evaluates educational toolkits for disabled children and youths in order to strengthen their self-help competences and to improve their preparedness in disaster settings.
